We have some great news to share from the Sylva Foundation team. Our Director of Operations, Paul Orsi, has been appointed as a Trustee for the National Forest.
We are incredibly proud of Paul on his appointment. It is a well-deserved recognition of more than 25 years of expertise in the forestry and rural sectors. Paul will continue to lead our operational work and Environment Programme here at Sylva, while offering his vast experience to the National Forest as a Land & Forestry Trustee. Paul will also chair the National Forest Company Land & Forestry Working Group.
Paul joins the board alongside John Lockhart (Principal Consultant for Professional Services at Nicholsons) and Beth Cambridge (Head of Woodland Creation at Forestry England).
It is a pleasure to see Paul’s knowledge and passion for sustainable forestry and land management being shared with such a fantastic organisation.
About the National Forest: The National Forest is one of the boldest environmental initiatives in the country, transforming a post-industrial landscape by creating a forest across 200 square miles of the Midlands, linking the ancient remnant forests of Charnwood and Needwood. Together, we are demonstrating how trees can be the catalyst for regeneration and inspire a positive future in the face of a changing climate.
