Terry graduated from Rycotewood with a First degree in Furniture design & make in 2017. Since then he has gained a variety of skills and experience in areas such as neurorehabilitation within the NHS, site work with bespoke fitted cabinetry and working alongside other established furniture makers.
Working largely alone, he has developed his business, TAD Furniture, to include aspects such as bespoke picture framing, elegantly designed fitted storage solutions, lighting designs and beautifully made small craft items such as earrings. His design language draws from mid-century modern principles — clarity, proportion, and integrity of materials — mixed with a minimalist sensibility and a touch of bold experimentation. Terry aims to create pieces that feel both enduring and inventive. He hopes to grow his business here at Sylva for many more years to come.
