Today a national survey has been launched to ask the views of woodland owners and managers about the challenges and opportunities facing British Woodlands.<\/p>\n

The survey builds on work that has been carried out by Cambridge University\u2019s Department of Land Economy on five occasions over the last 50 years.<\/p>\n

Who should take the Survey?<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are interested in the views of a wide range of people who are responsible for the stewardship and upkeep of woodlands owned by councils, charities, companies, communities and private individuals.<\/p>\n

We would be grateful if you could notify any woodland owners or managers about the survey.<\/p>\n

The survey should take about 20-30 minutes to complete. All data will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. Results will be presented in an amalgamated version only.<\/p>\n

The Results<\/strong><\/p>\n

The results will provide a wealth of information that will help inform policy and decision makers of how we can best support the woodland and forestry community.<\/p>\n

Conference<\/strong><\/p>\n

People who take the survey will be invited to a woodland conference at Oxford University to be held in December 2012 at which the results of the survey will be discussed.<\/p>\n
