During 2014 the Sylva Foundation is supporting a number of activities across the UK to celebrate the 350th anniversary of the publication of John Evelyn’s Sylva in 1664.
Our activities are centred around the publication of The New Sylva book, which the charity has sponsored with the purpose of raising awareness of the importance of sustainable forest management. Signed copies of the book are now available to pre-order in our online shop – publication date April 10th – all proceeds to the Sylva Foundation.
We are supporting fine art exhibitions at botanic gardens and woodland trails at two arboreta featuring drawings and content of the book.
