Many of our regular readers will be aware that this year we are auctioning a selection of special limited edition prints from The New Sylva. The prints have been selling well and are earning the charity much-needed funds to support its work across Britain.
This week we are excited to be auctioning perhaps some of the most impressive and iconic images from the book. These include the cedar of Lebanon featured in the frontispiece, and the box woodland at the Chequers Estate (the Prime Minister’s residence) that adorns the cover of The New Sylva. Also newly listed is the stunning image of the unique high altitude oak woodland on Dartmoor, Wistman’s Wood.
Just a few days remain in the online auction for older listed items including that of the dramatic Caledonian pinewood, Black Wood of Rannoch.
Feedback from happy auction winners has been very positive, with many surprised just how detailed the prints are, their size (often larger than reproduced in the book), and their quality.
