Sylva Foundation has moved!
As announced back in February (read more) we commissioned a new wooden low-energy building designed by South Wales timber building specialists Benfield ATT. The Sylva Lodge—as it is known— was constructed with timber, most of which is home-grown, and all sourced from sustainably-managed forests.
Our new address is:

Good – and I hope a sign that Sylva is doing well. But given your core mission to promote greater use of wood grown in the UK a slight pity that all the timber used could not have been home grown.
Thanks for the comment John. All but the cedar shingles were UK home-grown. Unfortunately UK growers need to start pruning crops of western red cedar to achieve the quality of timber required for roofing shingles.
Lovely building. Hope to get to your art exhibition Gabriel, so hopefully will get to see it then
