This week the Wittenhams Community Orchard was formally opened by Oxfordshire’s High Sheriff Sarah Taylor, attended by all the children from the local primary school, volunteers, funders and neighbours. Earlier in the week we also installed the first of our beehives in our new Apiary.
The first of two practical workshops has taken place on woodland management planning and community engagement for people involved in community-owned and -managed woodlands. Free places are available for the second event on 23rd November at Marston Vale . . .
A Good Woods visit to Nonsuch Park, in the London Borough of Sutton, provides support to a community volunteer group, the Nonsuch Voles, and will help in mapping the woodland, creating a woodland management plan, and linking them to other community groups.
