In advance of the full report of the British Woodlands 2012 survey being released by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), a summary article has been published in the RICS Land Journal, written by Sylva’s Alistair Yeomans.
The conference will report on the 2012 survey of British woodland owners and managers. It will explore contemporary questions related to sustainable forest management in private woodlands raised by survey respondents and discuss results of their attitudes to ecological and economic challenges.
Sylva has had a superb response to the British Woodlands survey 2012 thanks in large part to wide publicity from partner organisations. The survey has now been closed and we are about to start the process of analysing the data received. These are just a few early broad-level observations.
